Thank you for being part of Edge Up. Our programs are small-group, high-touch learning experiences designed to help students build confidence, communication skills, critical thinking, leadership, and self-expression.
Please review the policies below before registering. By enrolling in an Edge Up program, families agree to the policies listed on this page.
For questions, please contact: info@edgeupjc.com
-
Edge Up programs have limited seats. Enrollment is confirmed when registration is complete and payment, deposit, or payment plan setup has been received.
Tuition reserves your child’s seat for the full program term, semester, workshop, camp, or full-year program.
Some programs may require application, instructor approval, or placement recommendation to ensure the class is the right fit for the student.
Edge Up reserves the right to recommend a different program or level if we believe another class would be a stronger fit for the student’s age, experience, readiness, or learning needs.
-
Tuition is due according to the payment option selected at checkout.
Some programs may offer payment plans. Payment plans are provided as a convenience for families and are a commitment to the full program term.
If a family selects a payment plan, the deposit is due at registration and remaining payments are automatically charged according to the payment schedule listed at checkout.
Failure to complete payment may result in loss of the student’s seat.
-
Tuition listed does not include credit card processing fees unless otherwise stated.
Credit card payments may be subject to a processing fee, which will be disclosed before checkout. This fee helps cover the cost of processing credit card transactions.
Where available, families may use an alternate payment method to avoid credit card processing fees.
-
Deposits and registration fees are non-refundable.
A deposit reserves the student’s seat and allows Edge Up to plan class size, staffing, materials, space, and program logistics.
-
Enrollment cancellations must be requested in writing.
Because Edge Up programs are small-group classes with limited seats, tuition is non-refundable once the program begins.
Refunds, credits, or transfers are not provided for schedule conflicts, travel, sports, birthday parties, family plans, student absences, or changes in availability after enrollment.
For full-year programs, payment plans remain a commitment to the full academic year unless otherwise approved in writing by Edge Up.
Edge Up may consider exceptional circumstances on a case-by-case basis, but approval is not guaranteed.
-
Student absences are not eligible for refunds, credits, or guaranteed makeup classes.
When possible, Edge Up may share class materials, recap notes, or suggested practice, but individual makeups are not guaranteed.
Because our classes are small, structured, and cohort-based, missed classes cannot always be recreated one-on-one or moved into another cohort.
Families who want additional support after a missed class may consider Edge Up+ or private coaching, when available.
-
If Edge Up cancels a class due to instructor illness, weather, building issues, emergency, or another unexpected circumstance, Edge Up will make reasonable efforts to offer one of the following:
a rescheduled class
a makeup session
a virtual class
added time or adjusted schedule
another appropriate solution based on the program
If Edge Up is unable to provide a reasonable replacement option, a credit may be considered at Edge Up’s discretion.
-
Edge Up may cancel, reschedule, or move a class online due to severe weather, unsafe travel conditions, building closures, public health concerns, or other emergencies.
Families will be notified by email and/or WhatsApp/text when possible.
Edge Up makes weather and safety decisions based on student safety, instructor safety, building access, and program logistics.
-
Unless otherwise stated, Edge Up classes are drop-off programs.
Parents and caregivers may not remain in the classroom during class unless specifically invited by Edge Up.
This policy helps students build independence, confidence, focus, peer connection, and trust in the classroom environment.
Families are expected to drop off and pick up students on time.
-
Students must be picked up by a parent/guardian or authorized pickup person listed on the registration form.
Families must notify Edge Up in writing if someone new will be picking up the student.
Students may not self-dismiss unless parent/guardian permission has been provided and Edge Up has approved self-dismissal for that student, location, and program.
Late pickup may disrupt class operations, instructor schedules, and building logistics. Repeated late pickups may result in additional fees or changes to enrollment.
-
When available, school pickup is a limited add-on service.
School pickup may only be available from specific schools, locations, grades, programs, or aftercare groups.
Families must register for pickup in advance and provide all required school dismissal information.
If a child is absent from school, leaving early, attending a different after-school activity, or not using pickup on a given day, families must notify Edge Up as soon as possible.
School pickup availability is not guaranteed and may change based on staffing, schedule, school policies, or logistics.
-
Edge Up classes are collaborative learning environments. Students are expected to participate respectfully, listen to peers, follow instructor guidance, and contribute to a supportive classroom culture.
Students may disagree, debate, perform, present, and share opinions, but they must do so respectfully.
Edge Up may contact families if a student needs additional support participating safely, respectfully, or productively in class.
If a student’s behavior repeatedly disrupts the learning environment, creates a safety concern, or prevents other students from participating fully, Edge Up may require a family meeting, support plan, change in program placement, or, in rare cases, removal from the program without refund.
-
Edge Up welcomes students with a range of personalities, learning styles, confidence levels, communication needs, and social-emotional needs.
Families are encouraged to share any information that may help us support the student, including learning differences, speech/language needs, sensory needs, anxiety, shyness, attention challenges, social dynamics, or anything the student may be nervous about.
Edge Up is not a therapeutic, clinical, or special education provider. While we do our best to create a supportive environment, we may not be able to provide specialized support beyond the scope of our small-group enrichment programs.
If Edge Up determines that a student needs a different level of support than we can reasonably provide, we may recommend a different program, additional support, private coaching, or a pause in enrollment.
-
Families must share any allergies, medical conditions, emergency medications, or health needs that may affect the student during class.
Edge Up does not administer medication unless explicitly agreed to in writing.
If a student carries emergency medication, such as an EpiPen or inhaler, families must provide clear instructions and ensure the student/instructor has access according to the family’s guidance and applicable program logistics.
In the event of an emergency, Edge Up will attempt to contact the parent/guardian and emergency contact listed on the registration form. If immediate medical attention is needed and a parent/guardian cannot be reached, Edge Up may contact emergency services.
-
Food and snack policies may vary by program, location, and class length.
Families should not send snacks containing common allergens unless approved for that program.
Students should bring water to class when appropriate.
Edge Up is not responsible for food allergies or reactions if allergy information was not provided during registration.
-
Edge Up may take photos or short videos during class, showcase, camp, workshop, or program activities for documentation, parent communication, educational purposes, marketing, website, and social media.
Families will be asked to indicate their photo/video preference during registration.
If a family does not authorize public-facing photo or video use, Edge Up will make reasonable efforts not to use that student’s image in marketing, website, or social media materials.
Families understand that group settings, public events, showcases, and audience photos may include incidental appearances. Edge Up will make reasonable efforts to respect each family’s stated preference.
-
Edge Up uses email for official program communication.
WhatsApp/text may be used for reminders, class logistics, quick updates, urgent notices, student progress communication, and scheduling.
Families are responsible for reading Edge Up communications and ensuring contact information is accurate and up to date.
-
Edge Up+ is an optional add-on for additional practice, support, materials, parent visibility, and coaching calls.
Included coaching calls must be scheduled during the applicable program term and may not roll over unless approved by Edge Up.
Missed coaching calls or late cancellations may not be rescheduled.
Additional coaching calls may be booked separately when available.
Edge Up+ does not replace regular class attendance.
-
Some Edge Up programs may include showcases, simulations, in-class competitions, local pitch events, or opportunities to participate in external competitions.
Participation in external competitions may require additional fees, registration costs, judge fees, travel, preparation sessions, or schedule commitments.
External tournament or competition participation is not guaranteed unless explicitly stated in the program description.
Edge Up does not guarantee awards, placements, advancement, or competition outcomes.
Competition readiness depends on student attendance, preparation, maturity, teamwork, and instructor assessment.
-
Edge Up reserves the right to adjust instructors, schedules, locations, formats, curriculum pacing, class groupings, or program details when necessary.
If a major change is required, Edge Up will communicate with families as soon as reasonably possible.
Edge Up may combine, postpone, cancel, or adjust a class if enrollment is too low or if staffing, space, or logistics require a change.
If Edge Up cancels a program before it begins due to low enrollment or operational needs, families will be offered a refund, credit, or alternate program option.
-
Edge Up collects student and family information for enrollment, safety, communication, program planning, and student support.
Edge Up does not sell student or family information.
Student information may be shared with Edge Up instructors, assistants, or staff as needed to support the student and run the program.
Families are responsible for providing accurate and current contact, medical, emergency, and pickup information.
-
Edge Up may update these policies from time to time.
The most current version will be posted on this page.
By enrolling in an Edge Up program, families agree to the policies in effect at the time of enrollment, unless otherwise required by law or communicated in writing.
