Public Speaking is an in-person weekly class where young students build confidence, communication skills, and self-expression in a warm, playful environment.
Through storytelling, games, show-and-tell, creative prompts, and beginner speech activities, students practice speaking clearly, organizing their ideas, and feeling comfortable sharing in front of others.
At Edge Up, confidence is built through practice — not perfection. Students are encouraged to try new things, take small risks, learn from mistakes, and build momentum through small wins. In a supportive environment, students learn that their voice matters and that confidence grows every time they try.
Students develop foundational speaking skills including:
expressing ideas clearly
listening and responding to others
taking turns and participating confidently
using eye contact, volume, posture, and expression
organizing thoughts into simple speech structures
This class is designed for early elementary students who are learning how to use their voice, share their ideas, and feel comfortable being seen and heard.
