Summer Camp FAQ

  • Our elementary camps (AI Explorers, Mini CEO Lab, Lights, Camera, Confidence) are designed for ages 7–10.

    Our Model UN Intensive is designed for ages 10–14.

    If your child is close to the age cutoff and you’re unsure, please reach out — we’re happy to help place them in the best-fit camp.

  • All camps take place at:

    333 Washington Street, 3rd Floor
    Jersey City, NJ

    Full arrival and pickup details will be shared with enrolled families before camp begins.

  • Elementary Camps:
    Monday–Friday • 3:00–5:00 PM

    Model UN Intensive:
    Monday–Friday • 5:00–7:00 PM
    (No Model UN session on Tuesday July 7)

    Model UN Final Summit:
    Saturday July 18 (late morning — exact time shared with families)

  • Please bring:
    • A water bottle
    • A small snack

    All materials and supplies are provided by Edge Up.

  • The final 45 minutes of the last day of camp is a live family showcase.

    Parents are invited to watch as students:
    • Present their projects
    • Share what they learned
    • Celebrate their growth and confidence

    Showcase begins at 4:15 PM on Friday for elementary camps.

  • Students participate in a full Model UN simulation where they represent countries and debate real global issues.

    Families are invited to observe the final portion of the summit on Saturday July 18. This is a highlight of the program and a proud moment for students.

  • We keep camps intentionally small for personalized coaching.

    Elementary camps: 12 students max
    Model UN Intensive: 16 students max

  • Absolutely. Many students join Edge Up to build confidence.
    We create a supportive, encouraging environment where kids can participate at their comfort level. No child is ever forced to speak before they are ready.

  • Yes! Confident students love the opportunity to lead projects, present ideas, and strengthen leadership and teamwork skills.

  • Yes. We offer $50 off each additional sibling enrolled.

  • Summer camps require advance planning, staffing, and limited spots, so we do not offer refunds.

    However, we offer camp credit:

    • Cancellations made 30+ days before camp receive full credit
    • Cancellations made 14–29 days before camp receive 50% credit
    • Cancellations made within 14 days of camp are non-transferable

    Credits can be used toward any future Edge Up program within 12 months.
